The Dental Board of California requires that every dental licentiate and permit holder complete a minimum of 2 hours of infection control training every renewal cycle.  This course is so thorough you will get FOUR CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS!

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the principles of infection control and the regulatory requirements set by the Dental Board of California, OSHA, and CDC.

  2. Describe how diseases are transmitted in dental settings and apply strategies to break the chain of infection.

  3. Perform proper sterilization, disinfection, and instrument-processing procedures in compliance with California standards.

  4. Select, use, and dispose of personal protective equipment (PPE) and implement engineering and work-practice controls to prevent exposure.

  5. Respond appropriately to exposure incidents, including immediate actions, reporting, documentation, and post-exposure follow-up.

At the successful completion of this course, you will receive your Infection Control Continuing Education Units on your account page.
