CE – OSHA Annual Review

$95.00

An Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) course is required by all personnel with potential exposure to blood and other potentially infectious diseases.  This regulation helps to ensure that all employers are providing a safe environment for their dental staff.

In this course, you’ll get a refresher on pathogenic organisms—those “bugs” that make people sick—where they come from, the illnesses they cause, how they spread, and the steps you can take to protect yourself. We’ll also review important technical terms like engineering controls and exposure control plan. These terms might ring a bell, but if you don’t use them every day, it’s easy to forget the details. No worries—we’ll break everything down in a simple, easy-to-follow format. By the end of the video, you’ll feel confident and well-informed about preventing the spread of disease.

You will receive 3 CEUs for completing this course!
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify OSHA regulations applicable to dental settings, including Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, and Injury & Illness Prevention requirements.

  2. Recognize common workplace hazards in the dental office and apply appropriate engineering controls, work practice controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to reduce risk.

  3. Demonstrate proper procedures for exposure incidents, including sharps injuries, splash exposures, reporting requirements, and post-exposure follow-up.

  4. Explain employee rights and employer responsibilities under OSHA, including training requirements, documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment.

  5. Apply OSHA safety principles to daily dental practice operations to promote compliance, reduce injuries, and protect both staff and patients.

Upon completion, you will be issued a certificate with 3 CEUs to verify your successful mastery of the course material.
