Harassment Prevention Training for the New Hire

$75.00

California requires all employees to complete Harassment Prevention training within six months of hire and every two years thereafter. Creating a professional, respectful atmosphere is especially important in a dental office—both for team harmony and patient comfort.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand California’s harassment, discrimination, and retaliation laws—including what qualifies as unlawful conduct under the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and how these rules apply specifically within dental offices.

  • Recognize the different forms of workplace harassment (verbal, physical, visual, sexual, third-party, and digital) and identify behaviors that can create an unprofessional, unsafe, or uncomfortable environment for employees and patients.

  • Learn how to prevent, address, and report inappropriate conduct by understanding your rights and responsibilities, the practice’s reporting structure, and what to do if you witness or experience harassment—both inside and outside operatories.

  • Develop practical communication and professionalism skills to help build a respectful, inclusive, and supportive dental team culture, ensuring that interactions with coworkers, doctors, vendors, and patients remain appropriate.

  • Understand employer obligations and employee protections—including anti-retaliation rules, the requirement to conduct prompt, fair investigations, and how a dental practice must respond to complaints, concerns, or incidents.

This course helps dental teams foster a safe,
inclusive, and legally compliant work environment.

Once you complete the course, you’ll receive a certificate confirming your compliance with the training requirements.
